Lecturistic: Automated Lecture Recordings

Lecturistic was born at NWHacks 2018 when a group of friends and I decided we wanted to create a way to make recording lectures, something many of us do to review concepts in classes later on, easier.
The main problem we aimed to solve is forgetting to record lectures. I’ve found this happens to me more often than it should. I then find myself wanting to listen to what a professor said in class, but can’t! A secondary issue we wanted to solve with Lecturistic is the space that recording a bunch of lectures takes up on a phone. This is an annoyance and a reason why many people choose not to record on their phones.
I worked on the Android app in Java, interfacing with Microsoft Azure to store the audio clips, and writing the code to automate the recording process.
